When should plush strip be replaced?
On the base of cleaner head there is a felt/soft plush strip that stops the head from scratching the surfaces, when this strip is completely worn out, it will affect the performance of your vacuum cleaner and damage the surfaces like wood floors:

1.This replacement strip is made of premium soft material with high density, it is normal that you would feel certain resistance at beginning when its brand new.
2.After being used for a period of time, the soft plush strip has been properly worn out, and it will become smooth and easy to move when vacuuming and pick up dust and debris more effectively.
3.When strip is over-used or completely worn off, it will become flat and split, which will affect the performance of your vacuum cleaner, and also start to scratch and damage surfaces.
